BEETROOT RAITHA

This is an entry to Radhika's Blog hop wednesday-10 Edition2.This week I am paired with Sara's kitchen.Her blog is awesome and i have tried many recipes from her blog.Toda y I tried Beet root raitha which was liked by evryone at home for fried rice.
INGREDIENTS:
Beet root-1(cut into small pieces)
Red chilly powder-1tsp
Salt to taste
Curd-11/2 cup
Peanuts-1/4cup(roasted and powdered coarsely)
To Temper
Mustard-1tsp
Oil -1tsp
Coriander to garnish


METHOD
Keep the beetroot in a pressure cookerand cook till one whistle.
Mash it slightly with a masher.
Take the oil in a kadai add the oil, mustard,wait till it splutters.
Add the beetroot,chilly powder, peanuts and salt to it.
Add the curd and switch off the gas.
Garnish it with coriander.
Healthy,colourful raitha is ready!!!!Tasted very well with fried rice.:

CARROT_MASALA ROTI

This is the 9th week of BLOG HOP WEDNESDAY-9Edition2 hosted by Radhika.This time I am paired with Priya vasu ,Whose  BlogI have already visited many times for her awesome recipes and this time I chose Carrotmasala roti. 
INGREDIENTS:
Wheat flour-2cups
Salt to taste
Water for kneading
Carrot -1 shredded
Kasuri Methi leaves-1tbsp
Chilli powder-2tsp
Turmeric powder-1/2tsp
Oil-2tsp

METHOD:
Mix all the ingredients and make a soft dough
Leave it for 30 minutes.
Roll out in to rotis and cook it on a tawa on both sides
Soft and delicious carrot rotis are ready!!!!
Serve it with some raita or some vegetable etc

MAWA DRY FRUIT BURFI

INGREDIENTS:
Mawa-1cup
Almond(powdered)-1/2cup
Cashew(powdered)-1/2cup
Fig-1/4cup(Cut finely)
Sugar-21/4cup
Water -1cup
Cardamom-1tsp
Ghee -2tsp(to grease the plate)
METHOD:
Take the mawa,cashew,almond and fig ina kadai and fry it in onetsp of ghee for two minutes
Transfer it in a bowl and add sugar ,water. in the same kadai and make it one string consistency.
Add the mawa mixthure and in a medium flame ,heat it till it leaves the sides of the kadai.
You may test it by putting the mixture in a small plate,and seeing whether it becomes little hard when it is cooled.
Transfer it on a greased plate and cut it in to diamond shape.
Lovely mawa dryfruit burfi is ready.

TOMATO BESAN PANCAKE

This entry goes to BLOG HOP WEDNESDAY-8 Edition2 hosted by Radhika.There are no words left for appreciating her.Her blog is wonderful one with   beautiful clicks,awesome recipes and so onThis time I am paired with NUPUR.-UK rasoi with lot of mouth watering recipes and colourful one.I chose Besan dosa with some alteration instead of soya flour,I used rice flour little.
INGREDIENTS:
Besan-2cups
Rice flour-1/4cup
Tomato-3
Green chillies-2
Ginger paste-1/2tsp
Chilly powder-1/2tsp
Hing little
Onion-1
Cumin seeds-1tsp
Water enough
Salt to taste

METHOD:
Take the tomatoes,greenchilly,redchillypowder,salt in a mixie and grind it to a fine paste.
Add the flour and cumin seeds to this,making like a dosa battter with water.
Chop the onions finely and add it to the mixture
Spread it on a dosa tawa with a dash of butter and cook it on a low flame for 2-3 minutes.
Yummy besan pancakes a  ready!!!
