OATS UPMA-BLOG HOP WEDNESDAY

Thanks to Radhika for hosting this Blog hop wednesdays  week-15and I am a regular participant.This time I am paired with Shree Rao.I went through her wonderful space and was delighted and tried Oats upma for breakfast.Oats in a porridge is a usual one and many dont like it.Some spicy menu is always Tasty.
INGREDIENTS:
Oats-1cup
Onion-1
Ginger paste-1tsp
Green chillies-2
Coconut(optional)-1/4cup
Oil-1tsp
Mustard-1tsp
Bengal gram-1tsp
Cumin seeds-1tsp
Coriander-to garnish
Cashew or groundnuts-1tsp
Salt to taste
Lime juice 2tsp

METHOD:
Fry the oats till it changes it white colour.
Take the oil in a kadai,add the oil,mustard,wait till it splutters,add the bengal gram dal and cumin seeds.
Fry the onion,add the ginger paste and green chillies.
Add 1.5 cups of water,when it boils add salt and the oats and cook till all the water is absorbed.
Take it off the fire and add the lemon juice and garnish with fried cashews and coriander.
Healthy breakfast is ready!!!!

CORN PAROTTA

I am very happy to take part in this Magic-Mingle-3Hosted by Kalyani.It was indeed a wonderful round in the mingle-2 with many mouth watering recipes.This time the two ingredients are corn and wheat.I tried corn parotta iestuffed with corn.It is very healthy as it does not require much oil and all the ingredients  used are very good for health.
INGREDIENTS:
Corn -(soft)variety-1cup(Boiled one)
Onion-1
Tomato-1
Kasuri methi-2tsp
Coriander powder-1tsp
Cumin powder-1tsp
Redchilly powder-1tsp
Vangi bhath powder/garam masala-1tsp
Olive oil-3tsp
For Roti:
Wheat flour-1cup
salt to taste
Water to knead
Salt to taste

METHOD:
Knead the atta in to a smooth dough and leave it for half an hour.
Take a kadai,add one 1tsp of oil,add the onion fry for one minute,add all the ingredients and cook for 3minutes.
Roll the dough in to two rotis and stuff the filling inside and cover it with another roti.Seal the sides with water.
Cook it on a slow flame by adding little oil till both the sides are well cooked.
It goes well even with a cup of curd.
Tasty and  healthy parotta is ready!!!!!
